    A Calculation and Analysis of the Steel Ingot Thermal Process in a Temperature-keeping Equipment after Drawing

    • A mathematical model describing the steel ingot thermal process in a temperature-keeping equipment after drawing has been developed. Some experimental measurements have been done, the result of which have shown that the model is valid. Some calculations and analysises have been done of the effects of temperature-keeping equipment on energy saving. Possibilities have been suggested that high temperature steel ingots are rolled, without beening reheated in soaking pits. The influence of the meterial used for temperature-keeping equipment and the thickness of its wall on energy saving have been involeved.
