    An Investigation on Ceramic Lined Steel Pipe

    • Ceramic lined steel pipe was produced by centrifugal-SHS process. Centrigugal force effects on the combustion process, the phase separation and microstructure of SHS products. Mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the ceramic lined steel pipe are good enough for practical purposes. The calculation of residual stress shows that ceramic layer is compressed by the outer metal pipe and outer metal pipe is in tension. This type of distribution of residual stress gives high resistance against thermal and mechanical shock.
