Abstract

Abstract

Reports preparation of artificial opal by sedimention of SiO₂ spheres in ethanol and it's microscopic and optical characterization.Results show that artificial opal belongs to analogue fcc structure,which is in agreement with theoretical calculations by L.V. Woodcock.
