    Decoupling controller design of a looper height and tension system based on FPGA

    • The dynamic mathematic model of a looper height and tension system was built on field data for hot strip finishing mills. A control strategy based on BP-PID was introduced to decouple the looper system by using FPGA, which includeds systolic mapping, data representation and precision, and computation components design. Simulated results showed the effectiveness of the algorithm and the applicability of the control strategy.
