Abstract

Abstract

The activities of sulfur and oxygen reacted with aluminum in hot metal were calculated by the thermodynamics data. The capability of desulphurization for hot metal could be increased as aluminum and lime were added into hot metal together. In this case, the thermodynamics reaction mechanism of desulphurization and the effect of Al₂O₃ and CaF₂ in desulphurization in hot metal were discussed.
