    Weighted fuzzy clustering strategy for wireless sensor networks based on the neighbor potential function

    • A weighted fuzzy clustering algorithm based on the neighbor potential function for wireless sensor networks is proposed to solve clustering problems in the case of network topology stability in the metallurgical industry. The potential function of neighbor nodes is used to optimize the network clustering, which enhances the load balance factor and ensures cluster heads being well scattered. Simulation experiments illustrate that compared with LEACH, the proposed algorithm is able to significantly prolong the networks lifetime by 93.6%.
