Abstract

Abstract

the electrode process of Y(Ⅲ) on nickel electrode in NaCl-KCl-YCl₃ molten salts has been investigated by means of cyclic voltammetry, X-ray diffraction and SEM. The results show that intermetallic compound (Ni₅Y and NiY) are formed first, then metallic yttrium is reduced.
