    Mathematical Model for Prediction of Erosion of Bottom of Blast Furnace by BEM

    • A mathematical model for prediction of bottom erosion in blast furnace by boundary element method(BEM) was established. The 1 150℃ isotherm as a reference profile of the erosion of the hearth and bottom was calculated.Actual calculation shows that the accuracy of this solution of the model using BEM could be controlled and time spent on the new method are much less than that of the old method.
