Abstract

Abstract

A mathematical model of solidification and heat transfer for Continuous Casting slab is established on the basis of slab caster of Anyang iron & Steel Company. According to the steel grades,the slab section sizes and the casting speed,the control model can adjust secondary spray cooling zone water flow rates.The production application has verified that the water flow for secondary cooling is suitable and the quality of casting slab is good.
