    FEM analysis of the temperature field and microstructure of a 0.45%C steel component in induction heat-treatment process

    • The commercial FEM analysis software ANSYS was used to simulate the induction heating process and cooling process of a special shape chassis part made of 0.45% C steel. Combining with the temperature variation curve by simulation and the CCT curve of 0.45% C steel, the microstructure inside the workpiece was predicted after it was cooled in air. The result showed that the simulated data of temperature field and microstructure agree well with the experimental ones in industrial condition.
