    Discussion on the Development of Digital Carbon Management in the Chinese Steel Industry

    • In order to mitigate global warming and deal with the impact and impact of international trade forms such as carbon tariffs on China's steel industry. Based on the current situation of carbon emissions in China's steel industry and the pain points of carbon management in steel enterprises, this paper innovatively proposes the application framework of digital technology enabling the steel industry by deeply integrating digital technology, and further develops and improves the application scenarios of digital carbon management in the steel industry. This paper proposes that the architecture of digital carbon management should mainly include four levels: infrastructure layer & data acquisition layer, data operation layer, business application layer and user layer. Application scenarios in the steel industry should mainly include carbon accounting, carbon accounts, carbon panorama, carbon structure & carbon comparison, carbon trading, carbon reporting, carbon consulting, energy carbon synergy, low carbon index, supply chain product carbon footprint management, product real-time carbon footprint tracking, digital carbon labeling, identification of energy saving potential and ecological design. By studying the typical application cases of digital carbon management in the steel industry, this paper discusses the prospect of the application of digital carbon management technology in the steel industry, and believes that while improving the relevant standards and regulations system of digital carbon management, attention should be paid to the training of digital carbon management talents, and the existing information system of enterprises should be closely connected. And put forward the development trend of "six integration + multi-platform" digital carbon management in the steel industry, that is, "one body + multi-platform" low-carbon product evaluation and certification system, and digital carbon management system with standardization, internationalization, integration, security, assets and localization characteristics. The application of digital carbon management technology to the steel industry can better solve the chaos of carbon management in the steel industry and the pain points of enterprise carbon management, reduce the threshold of carbon management in the steel industry, improve the efficiency of carbon management in the steel industry, and ensure the safety of carbon data in the transmission process.
